Tom & Karyn Gallo


Since childhood, Tom dreamed of opening an Italian ristorante and sharing the delicious family recipes he grew up enjoying. Both sets of Tom’s grandparents were excellent cooks, and fine food was a daily celebration.

Our Dream

When Tom and Karyn first met, they shared a common dream and passion for family. Together, they made Galletto a reality.

It has been said that when eating in Italy you experience the age-old gift of making art out of life. Tom and Karyn have certainly recreated that spirit at Galletto.

“Our greatest joy is sharing a great meal, bottle of wine and conversation in a beautiful environment with family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to share this experience with you.” – Tom and Karyn Galletto Ristorante resides in a 1930s-era Art Deco building that formerly housed a Wells Fargo Bank. When they saw it, Tom and Karyn instantly knew it was the right building for their vision of a family restaurant that would serve the best Italian food anywhere.

The ambiance, artwork, fine wines and stellar food at Galletto Ristorante are the answer to a lifelong dream.

Galletto Ristorante first fine dining venture began in 2001 located in Modesto, California - 1101 J Street.

The name Galletto Ristorante is synonymous with the best of restaurant hospitality and the ultimate in all aspects of the culinary arts in the Central Valley. Our Executive Chef, Michael Goularte, has a passion for fresh and locally sourced cuisine.

Galetto Ristorante Catering, brings a new level of innovation and inspiration to special event and contract dining services for cultural, corporate and entertainment venues, offering a restaurant-quality experience in a special event setting for both small and large scale events.
